2010 was the year of the Fleetwood Bounder and RVing for the Bridgewaters. We had always wanted to do the RV thing and an opportunity had come about in 2009 and we found ourselves to be the proud owners of a 31 ft Class A motorhome. We had taken a short trip in late 2009 down to Kentucky Lake with the Murrays, however in 2010 our first real vacation was the last week of May up to the UP of Michigan with Clark and Eddie.

Then in July of 2010 we loaded up the RV with the HD in tow and headed back out west for 2 weeks in colorful Colorado. The RV ran great except for the annoying problem with the temperamental refrigerator. We spent a couple nights in Pueblo and a week in Montrose. It was great fun; however, we learned camping is hard work. So we sold the camper when we got back home.

After Pikes Peak we headed on over to Cripple Creek, Colorado and on to Victor. We headed south from Victor on a Road marked Phantom Ranch Road (County Road 86) back to US 50. It was about 30 miles of dirt road with some great views and wild life.

After Pueblo, we headed on over the continental divide on US 50 (Monarch Pass) and down to Montrose. US 50 is a really scenic drive along the Arkansas River on the east of the Rockies, and along the Gunnison River on the West.

Our first excursion on the motorcycle from Montrose was East on US 50 to Highway 92, through Crawford and then back to US 50. Although the actual mileage was pretty short, this loop took us all day as there were numerous overlooks and things to see.
Our next loop was the big ride of the trip. We again headed east out of Montrose then turned south on Highway 149 and down into Lake City. We turned off of Highway 149 and west onto Highway 160 back to Durango, then onto 550 North back to Montrose. Spectacular scenery along this entire route.
