2005

2005 was supposed to be the year we toured New Mexico and eastern Arizona.  This was our third year of going out west and I had planned a trip from Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Carlsbad, Las Cruces, Tombstone, riding the Cortez Scenic Highway, the Painted Desert, and the Petrified Forrest.  However, even though we went in May, the weather was so hot and brutal in New Mexico we drug up and went north to Colorado and visited, Pike's Peak, The Garden of the Gods, Canon City, Estes Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is the road out to the Chaco Park.  It was the worst
